Data Connector

Data Connector takes the project's records out as CSV files, so they can be read in a spreadsheet or a business-intelligence tool without anyone writing an integration. It is available to project administrators.

This topic includes:

Running an extraction

Open Data Connector from the Insight menu and choose Run extraction.

  • Scope — this project, or every project in the account if you are an account administrator.
  • Activity data — everything, the past day, the past 7 or 30 days, or a specific range. A range can cover at most 31 days and must fall within the last year.
  • Services — every tool is included by default. Clear the list to pick just the ones you want.

The extraction runs in the background; you are emailed when the archive is ready, and it also appears in the history below.

What comes back

A ZIP holding one CSV per service, plus a README.txt naming every file and its row count. Each file is UTF-8 with a header row, dates are ISO-8601, and identifiers are carried through so the tables can be joined back together.

Archives are kept for 30 days. After that, run the extraction again.

Scheduling

Schedule runs an extraction on a cadence — daily, weekly or monthly, every one to twelve periods, at a time you choose. A schedule pauses itself if its archives go uncollected, so it never quietly fills storage with files nobody opens; Resume starts it again.
