Insight does not hold any data of its own. It reads what the other tools contain and answers the questions a project manager actually asks.

- Ball in court — who is holding things up, and how much.
- Open items trend — whether the backlog is growing or shrinking, week by week.
- Risk flags — the specific things worth attention now, each with a count, so "3 RFIs overdue by more than a fortnight" is a link rather than a feeling.
The portfolio view
Across projects, the same measures answer which job needs attention. A project with a small backlog that is growing quickly usually needs attention before one with a large backlog that is shrinking.
