Roles and permissions

85 viewsUpdated 18/09/20261 min read

A role is defined once on the account and then given to members project by project, so the same person can be an administrator on one job and a member on another.

This topic includes:

Access levels

LevelWhat it means
Project memberWorks in the project's tools.
Project adminAlso configures the project: taxonomies, locations, notification settings, RFI types.
Account adminReaches every project on the account, and manages the account itself.

Products

A role also records which modules it grants — Build, Cost Management, Insight, and so on — so a quantity surveyor can be given Cost Management without the site tools, and a site engineer the reverse.

Account administrators

An account administrator can reach every project on the account whether or not they are a member of it.

Note: reaching a project is not the same as being on it. Account administrators are not automatically in a project's notification audience, because they are not members. Add them to the project if they should be told what happens on it.
