Publishing a drawing that already exists adds a version rather than replacing what was there.
This topic includes:
Add a version
Publish the new drawing through + Add sheets exactly as before, under a new version set name. Any sheet whose number already exists gains a version; numbers that are new become new sheets. One upload can therefore revise part of the set and extend the rest.
Switch between versions
Open a sheet and use the version selector in the viewer. It lists every version with the set it arrived in. Beside it, the viewer names the format the version came from — a sheet can hold a PDF revision and a DXF revision, and the label is how you tell them apart.
Use Upload Version in the viewer to add a version to this sheet alone.
What stays attached to a version
- Markups belong to the version they were drawn on.
- Issue pins stay on the version they were placed on, so an issue raised against revision 1 still points at revision 1 after revision 2 arrives.
- Number, title and discipline belong to the sheet, so correcting a title corrects it across every version.
Note: the Publish log beside the tool title records every upload — what was published, by whom, when, and which sheets it touched.
